The goal is to create equipment for IT infrastructure that is initially designed for long-term operation and support.
The Russian system integrator «Mobius Technologies» has announced the launch of its own research and development (R&D) direction. The new division will be engaged in the production of IT equipment and specialized solutions, including servers, data storage systems, NAS solutions, tape libraries and network devices. In addition, the company plans to develop multimedia solutions, such as soundproof cabinets for office testing of noisy equipment and smart panels.
Alexander Triguba, Deputy General Director for Product Creation and Production Development, emphasized that the need to launch its own production arose due to the problems faced by customers when servicing IT infrastructure after the end of the warranty period. Among these problems, he highlighted the lack of quality services, long terms of expensive repairs, the lack of a single support service and overall responsibility for maintenance.
The company's immediate plans include the introduction of an extended post-warranty equipment support program in 2026 and the introduction of digital twin technology for remote diagnostics and optimization of repair work three years later.
