Moscow, March 18, 2025 — IT developer "Basis" has entered the leadership quadrant of the first Russian import substitution matrix in the server virtualization software segment. The study was prepared by the analytical company STREAM Consulting in collaboration with the 4CIO top managers club community with the support of the ANO "Digital Economy".
Research and Results
During the study, experts assessed the quality and functionality of domestic solutions in the field of server virtualization according to 10 key parameters. The assessment was carried out by 135 respondents — representatives of medium, large and very large businesses.
According to the results of the analysis, "Basis" took the leading position, ahead of competitors in terms of product development. STREAM Consulting analysts noted the importance of the company's solutions for the corporate sector, service providers and government organizations.

Previously, the leadership of the company "Basis" was confirmed by research by TMT-Consulting and iKS-Consulting. In particular, according to analysts, in the server virtualization segment, the company's share reached 35% of the market, which is twice the figures of the nearest competitor.

The use of virtualization technologies allows businesses to more effectively manage server and network resources, increasing the flexibility of the infrastructure. This is a key trend for large public and private companies in Russia and around the world.
As part of the study, experts compared the functionality of domestic solutions with foreign counterparts, including VMware, Citrix and Microsoft Hyper-V products. According to analysts, Russian developers have high potential and can create competitive products at the global level.
