VTB has joined the Federal Tax Service's experiment to provide a comprehensive service called "Starting a Business Online." With its help, Russians will be able to remotely register a business on the Federal Tax Service website, obtain an electronic signature, and open a current account at a bank.
The service will be launched in experimental mode on March 1. It includes business registration (sole proprietorship or LLC with a single founder), execution of a qualified electronic signature (QES), and opening a current account online. To use the service, you need to be identified using the "Gosuslugi Key" system or biometrics − for this, data about the individual entrepreneur or company manager must be in the Unified Biometric System. Biometric data can be submitted at VTB branches throughout Russia.
"Supporting entrepreneurs and introducing innovative services for them is one of the priorities of VTB's strategy. The bank is developing its own solutions and actively participating in government initiatives for the digital transformation of small and medium-sized businesses. Today, customers can already open a current account with us online. But in order to offer this opportunity to all Russians interested in registering a business with the opening of an account in the shortest possible time, we are connecting to the project of the Federal Tax Service and the Government of the Russian Federation. With the new process, you can open your organization completely remotely and manage your business online from the first day − through the digital services of the Federal Tax Service and VTB. It is especially difficult for novice entrepreneurs to understand the registration processes, so we expect that this service will improve the attitude of Russians to starting their own business and will contribute to the development of small businesses in Russia," said Denis Bortnikov, Deputy President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board.
As part of its development strategy for 2024 – 2026, VTB aims to actively work in all client segments of medium and small businesses and build long-term relationships with entrepreneurs, regardless of the scale of their activities. During this period, the bank plans to increase the number of SME clients by 1.5 times, offering entrepreneurs fundamentally new standards of relationships and service. In recent years, VTB has actively invested in the development of an omnichannel service for SMEs, ensuring the availability of 100% of standard products online.
The "Starting a Business Online" service is especially convenient for residents of remote areas who do not need to personally visit the Federal Tax Service or a bank branch. The experiment will be conducted with the participation of the Ministry of Finance of Russia, the Bank of Russia, Rosfinmonitoring and JSC "Center for Biometric Technologies" until March 1, 2025.
The "Starting a Business Online" service is provided free of charge. When opening a current account, new VTB clients can connect to the "At the Start" service package for starting a business with free service for up to a year. Individual entrepreneurs, as part of service packages, can use transfers to their accounts and cards of individuals without restrictions and without commission.
