Participants of the session, which was held with the support of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, discussed issues of waste reduction, development of the recycling industry, reorganization of production, introduction of special legislation, and development of innovations.

The environmental agenda is coming to the fore in the work of business in various fields. It is not only about a careful attitude to resources, but also about the peculiarities of international cooperation, responses to new challenges in the field of environmental protection. This was discussed at the session "Circular Economy. Business Communities as a Driver of Green Exports" of the International Export Forum "Made in Russia" by the President of the CCI of Russia Sergey Katyrin,

«It is important for entrepreneurs to restructure in a timely manner: to update technologies, find contractors with more environmentally friendly types of production, and learn to look at waste as a resource. It is important to stimulate recyclers as well – often their products have great export potential. Of course, for this work we need a properly regulated regulatory framework,» said Sergey Katyrin.

Representatives of manufacturing enterprises shared their work experience. More and more companies are coming to the idea of a circular economy and sustainable development. This is not just following a trend, it is an important tool of influence, said Evgenia Konstantinova, Director of External Communications and Interaction with Business Councils of the REC: «Every year we see more and more companies interested in environmentally friendly business – in every sense. And when they unite, they become a force that can change the economy, and the whole world, for the better. Together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the largest business community in the country, we have launched a number of projects that help promote high-quality and "green" Russian products, as well as remove some of the burden from entrepreneurs, including obtaining the necessary quality certificates. Together it is much easier to cope with any challenges».

Environmentally friendly products with the «Made in Russia» mark demonstrate increased quality characteristics. They have great export potential, which the state is ready to support. The participants of the discussion discussed the issues of interaction between the state and business for the development of «green» industries.
