The new BareMetal Extend service combines dedicated physical servers and ready-made IT environments
The Yandex B2B Tech team has introduced a new private cloud format for businesses — Yandex BareMetal Extend. The solution allows companies to use dedicated servers with pre-configured IT infrastructure without the need to purchase and maintain equipment themselves.
Unlike traditional private clouds, customer resources are physically isolated from the public cloud environment. This gives companies more control over the infrastructure while maintaining flexibility in launching and developing IT systems.
The solution includes three ready-made environment options: virtualization, Kubernetes, and the Stackland application development platform. Companies can choose the appropriate module and deploy containerized applications or critical systems on dedicated servers.
Technical support for the Yandex B2B Tech virtualization solution will be organized jointly with K2 Cloud on a single-window basis. Customers will not need to independently configure and support virtual resources.
Yandex BareMetal Extend provides infrastructure protection at the data center, network, and service levels and complies with the first level of personal data protection. Resource reservation and the unification of dedicated servers via a private connection are also available.
