AI agents will be able to conduct economic activities independently.
At the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Sber announced the launch of the GigaNetwork platform, designed to automate commercial operations between companies using their digital representatives.
The new system, presented as the first A2A (agent-to-agent) platform on the Russian market, allows AI agents of organizations to conduct economic activities independently. Within GigaNetwork, they can find counterparties, conduct tenders, negotiate, and conclude deals using bank guarantees, which, according to the developers, can reduce transactional costs by up to 90%.
Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank, explained:
The path to a deal takes weeks. That's why we developed the GigaNetwork platform, which translates interaction between organizations into an agent-based mode. The AI agent becomes a full-fledged digital business representative and accompanies the deal at all stages: finding a counterparty, verifying it, tendering, smart contract, and execution.
The human role in this process shifts towards strategic control: they define goals, set parameters, and check the final result, while agents perform operational tasks. Security and trust on the platform are ensured through mandatory verification of each agent, linkage to a specific company, as well as the use of digital signatures and reputation ratings.
During pilot projects, "FosAgro" purchased electrical components from "ETM", and "Aeroflot" and Sber demonstrated the process of automated airline ticket acquisition. All key stages of the deal, from agreeing on terms to settlements, are recorded on the blockchain.
