Linux machines can be integrated into a centralized backup system and data can be sent to cloud storage via a single interface.
In the new version 8.6.9 of Handy Backup Server Network, network agents for Linux servers and workstations have been updated. Now supported are Alt 10, Debian 12 and 11, OSnova 2.11, Red OS 8 and 7, and Ubuntu 22.04 distributions.
For Linux stations managed by the Windows-based Handy Backup panel, Handy Backup offers plugins for popular cloud services such as Yandex Disk, VK Cloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive. This simplifies the administration of mixed IT infrastructure and increases the fault tolerance of backups.
The update also includes support for PostgreSQL backup plugins for all listed distributions, and for Alt 10 and Ubuntu 22.04, MySQL and MariaDB are additionally supported. Furthermore, a more convenient way to install Linux agents is now available — ready-made packages with pre-configured dependencies.
Recall that Handy Backup Server Network is a business solution designed for centralized backup, recovery, and synchronization of data on servers and workstations running Windows and Linux.
