On November 17, the MSK-IX Peering Forum 2025 took place at the Congress Center of the World Trade Center — an event that coincided with two anniversaries: the 30th anniversary of MSK-IX and the 20th anniversary of the forum itself. The event brought together 860 participants — representatives of telecom, media and technology companies — confirming its status as a key platform for discussing business aspects of digital transformation.
The business program was built around two thematic tracks, each of which touched upon issues relevant to the B2B sector:
- «Infrastructure and network services». Experts focused on three megatrends that directly affect companies' business models:
o - smart infrastructure (implementation of AI to automate processes);
o - cyber resilience (ensuring the operability of systems in the event of attacks);
o - hybrid media architectures (integration of heterogeneous solutions to improve efficiency).
- «Video stream». The commercial aspects of the media market were discussed here:
o - digitalization of the industry and its impact on value chains;
o - cross-platform monetization of TV channels (search for new sources of income);
o - innovations in the production and promotion of video content as a tool for competitive advantage.
The forum traditionally serves as a platform for generating solutions that subsequently become industry standards. As an example, Anycast DNS technology, born during previous discussions. Today, it provides resilience to DDoS attacks and is used by many market players.
A special mobile application was available to participants, allowing them to:
- choose the most relevant reports;
- establish business contacts through built-in networking;
- quickly exchange information with partners.
According to the head of the organizing committee, Alexey Kostin, the forum has evolved from a narrow professional meeting of engineers to a strategic platform where the future of the digital industry is formed. This is confirmed not only by the growth in the number of partners, but also by the level of market trust — a key factor for the development of B2B interactions.
Evgeny Morozov, General Director of MSK-IX, emphasized that trust in the professional community allows competitors to join forces to build a digital sovereignty architecture. This is especially important for the telecom sector, where joint solutions often become the basis for scalable business projects.
The organizers announced a new stage in the development of the forum — the creation of a permanent online platform that will become a «digital twin» of the industry. Its task is to ensure continuous dialogue between market participants, allowing them to discuss trends and test solutions outside the framework of offline events.
