«Базис» первым в России реализовал управление репликацией и снапшотами для СХД TATLIN.UNIFIED Gen2

Basis and YADRO have announced the expansion of their technology partnership, presenting the integration of the Basis Dynamix Enterprise platform with TATLIN.UNIFIED Gen2 storage systems. Now, users will be able to manage key functions of TATLIN storage systems directly through the Basis Dynamix Enterprise interface, which will ensure increased fault tolerance and simplified administration of the dynamic infrastructure.

Key integration capabilities

Basis Dynamix Enterprise became the first Russian solution to implement management of TATLIN.UNIFIED (Gen1 and Gen2, release 2.8 and later) through its own interface. Now, IT administrators can:

• Create and manage data replication between TATLIN.UNIFIED storage systems;
• Flexibly switch between replicas;
• Create and manage snapshots of virtual machines;
• Roll back to previous states of virtual machines in case of failures;
• Work with storage systems in direct access mode (driver mode).

Advantages of the solution

• Fault tolerance: administrators can create geo-distributed systems, minimizing downtime in case of accidents;
• Effective snapshot management: fast return to previous states, implemented according to the Redirect-On-Write concept;
• Direct work with storage systems.

Integration development

Support for TATLIN.UNIFIED storage systems in Basis Dynamix Enterprise began in 2022 with Gen1. Over two years, the following were implemented:

• Cloning tools for accelerated VM deployment;
• Job queue for effective load management;
• Significant expansion of the API, increasing process automation.

These improvements have increased performance at the control plane infrastructure level several times over.
