On April 19, Moscow hosted a press breakfast of the full-cycle integrator FERRUM IT Group. The company's executives presented the business strategy and discussed the main trends in the industry. The speakers at the event were Maxim Makovsky, CEO of FERRUM IT Group, Anton Strelnikov, Technical Director, and Denis Kozlov, Commercial Director.
Speaking about the company's strategy in 2024, top managers noted that this year will be a turning point for the Russian software market. If in 2022 the volume of the software market almost equaled the supply of hardware, in 2023 its share continued to grow, then the current year is predicted to mark a breakthrough growth. The reason for this lies in the greater maturity of companies in the field of import substitution – those organizations who took a wait-and-see attitude and slowly prepared for the transition to domestic software, this year should carry out the transformation process.
Taking into account this trend, FERRUM IT GROUP has built a commercial strategy, according to which revenues from software license deliveries and implementation services should reach 30% in the overall business structure.
The development of import substitution, along with opportunities, also brings challenges for all participants in the market. The Russian IT industry has found itself in a new reality – on the one hand, Russian vendors must quickly scale up, develop their products to the level of a mature enterprise and be able to convey the value of these products to customers. And on the other hand, customers are faced with the need to choose from hundreds of solution providers.
All this exacerbates the importance of testing new solutions before implementation and requires flexible formats of integrator work. To improve reliability, FERRUM IT Group is developing vertically integrated hardware and software complexes. This approach helps customers reduce the time to select and test and increases the level of infrastructure availability, which experts discussed in detail at the meeting.
The meeting also discussed the role of the integrator in the modern market, the main trends in the automation of the banking industry, telecom and retail, and the most sought-after competencies.
Maxim Makovsky, CEO of FERRUM IT Group:
"Our role as an IT integrator has not changed over the years. It is classic. The businesses of our customers face the challenges of development and/or the task of controlling risks, complying with regulatory requirements. As an IT integrator, we are ready to offer tools for rapid and high-quality modernization of a secure IT infrastructure. Based on the team's many years of experience in our customers' IT transformation projects, working with domestic vendors, we offer our customers flexible project management methods, supporting the entire implementation process from the moment the need is formed to technical support. IT strategies can be different. We think about how to implement them and help to do it."
