Starting January 11, fare payment via the Faster Payments System (FPS) is available in open test mode at all turnstiles of the Moscow Metro and the MCC. The service is implemented by VTB Bank, the State Unitary Enterprise "Moscow Metro" and the Moscow Department of Transport in conjunction with the National Payment Card System (operational payment and clearing center of the FPS).

Ingosstrakh Bank has started using Russian QR code recognition technology in its mobile application. It allows users to instantly scan barcodes for making payments. The technology was created by Smart Engines, a leading developer of artificial intelligence and computer vision systems. The implementation was carried out by specialists from the Abanking banking platform.
