Russians are more often looking for remote work

At the same time, companies have started offering such vacancies slightly less often

Russians' interest in working outside the office has significantly increased over the year. According to a joint study by MegaFon and hh.ru, internet traffic to websites with vacancies for remote employment and freelancing increased by 15%. In June and July, the number of resumes indicating a remote format was 13% higher than a year earlier. About 15% of job seekers indicated such preferences.

The interest in remote work grew most actively in Siberia and the North-West. In the Kemerovo region, traffic to specialized websites increased 5.6 times, in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug – 2.5 times, and in Komi – 2.1 times. In Moscow, the growth was 31%, and in St. Petersburg – 19%.

The peak of interest occurred in April: visits to home-based job search services were 35% higher than the average level. During the week, such sites were most often visited on Wednesdays.

Men used them 31% more actively than women. The most numerous age group was users aged 35 to 44 – 38% of the audience. Among resumes with a remote format, candidates aged 31–40 (37%) and 19–30 (36%) lead.

At the same time, employers started publishing remote vacancies less often in the summer: their share decreased from 6% at the beginning of the year to 5%. The desired income for remote employees averaged 82,600 rubles, compared to 77,900 rubles for office work.
