The Federal Antimonopoly Service announced that marketplaces Wildberries and Ozon have complied with previously issued warnings and submitted reports on the measures taken to the agency.
The companies have standardized the terms for transferring funds to sellers for sold goods. Now, the maximum period for crediting payments to the seller's account must not exceed 30 calendar days from the date of sale.
In addition, Ozon will change product labeling from July 31: instead of the "Original" mark, product cards will feature the designation "Brand Verified." This change is related to the current product authenticity verification system.
Another change was the abandonment by both platforms of the dependence of logistics tariffs on the value of the goods. Thanks to this, delivery costs for sellers will become more transparent and will not depend on the set price, which also eliminates additional influence on the final cost of goods for buyers.
The FAS noted that the measures taken by Wildberries and Ozon comply with the requirements of antitrust legislation. The agency also reported that the issue of regulating marketplace commissions is currently being considered as part of the preparation of amendments to the law on the platform economy.
