The list of animals most frequently mentioned in organization names is topped by one of the most common domestic pets in Russia - the cat.

Analysts at Yandex Maps conducted a study, analyzing the names of nearly four million Russian companies to identify popular trends. It was found that the average name length is 17 characters, while the longest names exceed 200 characters, and the shortest consist of just one letter, such as the delivery service "Yo" in Naberezhnye Chelny.

The most diverse selection of names is observed in cities such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Yekaterinburg. Most often, entrepreneurs start their names with the letter "S", while the letter "P", common in the Russian language, ranks only fifth. The rarest letter to start a name is "Ъ" (hard sign), which appears in only two cases, including the real estate agency "Ъ" in Derbent. Names starting with "Ы", "Ё", "Е", "Ж", and "Я" are slightly more common.

Among the names used in titles, Elena, Olga, Anna, Tatyana, and Irina lead. At the same time, names such as Avgustina and Miranda are extremely rare. In the animal world, the most popular choice is the cat, followed by the fox and the bear. Fantastic creatures such as the phoenix and the dragon also appear in names.

As for plants, birch, chamomile, and spruce occupy the top spots, with trees often mentioned in diminutive forms, such as "Beryozka" (little birch) and "Yolochka" (little spruce).
