UserGate announces the release of a new version of the web application firewall, UserGate WAF 7.5.0 Beta. Key features include improved performance, new signatures to protect popular services, enhanced dashboard capabilities, and customizable block pages.
The developers have optimized the operation and expanded the functionality of the built-in OWASP TOP-10 module, which contains rules for blocking the exploitation of web application and technology vulnerabilities. The main focus of development is protection against new types of attacks, including attacks on "Битрикс", React Server Components, and other popular solutions.
In the new version of UserGate WAF 7.5.0, performance has increased by 31% for 4 cores and 23% for 8 cores compared to the previous version 7.4.1.
The software has received updated panels with additional widgets, detailed visualization, and the ability to manually configure their location. For panels and the event log, you can configure the refresh rate, multi-level filtering, and a quick navigation mechanism in the interface.
The new version implements interaction between UserGate WAF and UserGate Management Center (MC), which will be available to customers after the release of UserGate MC 7.6. A function has been added that allows administrators to set their own response codes for blocked requests according to specific rules or groups of rules.
Simultaneously with the release of UserGate WAF 7.5.0 Beta, the list of hardware platforms for UserGate WAF has been expanded. It has been supplemented by the high-performance E3010 platform with a performance of up to 3000 RPS, running on a 24-core processor, with 64 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. The platform is certified and included in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
