As for the content, the American film director admitted that he used to believe that every new film should become a classic. However, now he urges to be more lenient towards film producers. In his opinion, a lot of criticism falls on them, but it is not always reasonable.
At the same time, Oliver Stone urged not to dwell on outstanding film directors of the past, such as Jean-Luc Godard and Federico Fellini. No one will repeat their work. However, other strong professionals will take their place.
— Now it's a completely different world, and it's constantly changing. You have to accept the fact that changes are constantly happening, rejoice in the past, but move into the future, the American film director said.
