Among the key updates, it is worth noting the support for integration and management of Patroni clusters. The Patroni software tool is used to ensure high availability and fault tolerance of PostgreSQL databases by automatically switching to backup nodes in the event of a failure or failure of the main node. This ensures a high level of availability and automatic management of PostgreSQL databases. And today it is an indispensable tool for enterprises that need to ensure the uninterrupted operation of their applications and services - it makes it possible to maintain data integrity and avoid loss of information.
Integration with the Patroni application is implemented using the PatroniAPI interface - the implementation and management of clusters has become much easier for users of the Tantor 3.0 platform. The following features are available in the new version:
- management of the Patroni cluster lifecycle using a graphical interface;
- ready-made set of metrics, graphs and triggers for monitoring cluster status;
- receiving alerts about abnormal situations in the instance (database server), alerts arrive in case of instance unavailability, replication lag and other incidents.
The Tantor 3.0 platform has added a new CLUSTERS tab in the Overview menu, which displays all clusters in the workspace and demonstrates service information and cluster configuration (total amount of logical CPU cores and RAM, size of used/total disk space, number of instances directly in the cluster itself).
It is also worth noting that the release implements a new menu for working with clusters, allowing you to view detailed information about the operation of each instance included in the cluster. It can be initialized, started and stopped. Platform users also have access to functions for monitoring the operation of the cluster as a whole and the instances included in its composition.
"In our work on our solution, we always focus on current market demands and feedback from customer companies. These two points help us develop the product and improve its functionality. In particular, the Tantor 3.0 platform release introduced support for integration and management of Patroni clusters, – comments Vadim Yatsenko, CEO of Tantor Labs. – The Tantor platform development roadmap is built in such a way as to expand the possibility of our products working in the ecosystem of software from Russian developers with each update and implement improvements that improve the quality and convenience of the existing functionality."
