Aladdin and Orion soft companies confirmed the compatibility of JaCarta strong authentication tools with the zVirt virtualization platform. Following joint tests, the solutions received a compatibility certificate.
The verification confirmed the operation of JaCarta USB tokens and smart cards, including devices with biometric identification, to protect access to virtual workstations and servers. Compatibility was tested with a wide range of operating systems, including Windows 7–11, Windows Server 2008–2022, Astra Linux, RED OS, Alt, ROSA, AlterOS, Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, and macOS. JaCarta Unified Client version 3.3 or newer is required for the devices to work.
According to the developers, the integration allows the use of hardware-based user identity verification tools in corporate IT infrastructures based on zVirt. Additional protection is provided by the platform's tools, including network microsegmentation.
zVirt is designed to manage virtual servers, storage, and networks. According to Orion soft, the platform is used in more than 700 organizations, and the total number of hosts exceeds 19,100. The solution supports software-defined networking (SDN) and storage (SDS) technologies.
