The Ozon team has launched an online platform for searching and renting warehouse premises. With its help, owners of ready-made facilities and developers will be able to offer the marketplace space for long-term lease, as well as build-to-suit warehouse construction projects.
The platform publishes Ozon's requirements for locations, area, and other parameters of facilities. Owners of suitable premises can respond to posted projects or independently submit an application with a description of the facility. For ready-made warehouses, the company considers areas from 5 thousand sq. m, for the construction of new ones – from 10 thousand to 85 thousand sq. m.
Facilities must comply with Ozon's technical requirements. In particular, parking must be provided nearby. Convenient access and availability of public transport will be an additional advantage. The marketplace itself will handle equipment and operational processes after the lease.
In the future, Ozon plans to use the platform to attract third-party logistics operators. 3PL partners will be able to receive and sort goods, transfer them to couriers, process returns, and organize the movement of shipments between regions. Operators will have to comply with the company's standards to work.
