StormWall has launched StormWall Appliance, a software product for on-premise protection of infrastructure against DDoS attacks, in the Russian market. The solution is installed directly on the customer's servers, so the processed traffic does not leave the corporate network.
StormWall Appliance is designed for organizations that need to independently control network traffic and minimize reliance on external services. Potential users include internet and hosting providers, banks, and companies with high demands for data processing speed and system availability.
The product detects attacks at L3–L5 layers of the OSI model, including volumetric floods, TCP stack attacks, DNS attacks, reflection/amplification, and threats to gaming protocols. It supports filtering of encrypted TLS and QUIC traffic without decryption. DPDK technology and StormWall algorithms are used for packet processing.
The solution can operate autonomously or in conjunction with the company's cloud services: the local system processes traffic within the infrastructure, while the cloud platform connects to protect applications at the L7 layer.
The license is available for a fixed term or perpetually. Deployment takes from one day, followed by up to 30 days of testing. For isolated networks, an offline license with a hardware key is available.
