"IKS Holding" will allocate over 35 billion rubles to establish two enterprises in Primorsky Krai for the production of advanced semiconductors. Its area will exceed 35 thousand square meters, and the staff will comprise about 500 engineering specialists. This was reported by the company's press service.
The enterprises will produce microwave components and photovoltaic converters based on gallium arsenide and gallium nitride. The projected capacity will allow for the production of over 5 million microchips and up to 500 thousand space converters annually.
The products will be used in Yadro telecommunications equipment and "Bureau 1440" satellite solutions. "IKS Holding" expects that the new enterprises will form the basis for creating a national cluster of advanced semiconductors in the Far East for the space industry, communications, and radio electronics.
The project received support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, and the government of Primorsky Krai. The parties signed an agreement on its implementation at the Eastern Economic Forum. It is also planned to prepare a roadmap and agree on issues of infrastructure, energy, personnel, and technologies.
