Aktiv company announced that it has received a certificate from the FSB of Russia for the Rutoken Chip 3127 microchip, which meets the requirements of cryptographic protection classes KS1 and KS2. The solution is designed for integration into equipment that requires long-term data protection, including servers, ATMs, tablets, workstations, as well as devices for industrial automation, the Internet of Things, and “smart” city systems.
The microchip provides cryptographic authentication of devices and users, secure storage of private keys without the possibility of extraction, integrity verification of equipment, trusted software loading, and creation of secure communication channels. Secure software updates and user data encryption are also supported.
Following additional tests, the validity period of cryptographic keys in Rutoken Chip 3127 has been extended to five years. Built-in protection mechanisms allow monitoring power parameters, detecting attempts of physical intervention, and counteracting side-channel attacks. According to the developer, the certification opens up the possibility of wider application of the microchip in information systems and critical infrastructure facilities where certified cryptographic protection tools are required.
