VK Tech has updated the cloud version of the VK WorkSpace online whiteboard, adding new features for collaborative work among employees, clients, and contractors. One of the main innovations is guest access: whiteboard owners can send links to external users without registration, granting them viewing, commenting, or editing rights. However, guests have restrictions, including no access to creating new whiteboards or change history.
To enhance security, password protection for whiteboards has been introduced. It can be set, changed, or removed, and organization administrators now have the option to make password usage mandatory when granting guest access.
The service also integrates a polling tool with automatic result counting, which can be used for idea selection, prioritization, and team discussions. Additionally, users can upload files up to 30 MB to whiteboards. All uploaded documents undergo automatic antivirus scanning.
Other changes include a mini-map for navigating large whiteboards, export to SVG, PNG, JPG, PDF, and CSV formats, creation of whiteboard copies, and an English version of the interface.
