Kaspersky NGFW Receives Largest Update Since Launch

Kaspersky Lab has unveiled the largest update to its next-generation firewall, Kaspersky NGFW, since its release. Version 1.2 was presented at the Innoprom-2026 exhibition and includes changes based on the product's operational experience in corporate networks.

The update expands integration capabilities into IT infrastructure, improves performance, fault tolerance, and protection levels. The performance of the KX-3500 hardware platform in NGFW mode has increased to 140 Gbps, the number of recognized applications has exceeded 6,000, and the number of intrusion prevention system signatures has reached 9,000. The threat detection rate reaches 95–100% depending on the scenario.

Key new features include support for virtual contexts to segment network segments, policy-based routing, a configuration change control mechanism, automatic failover between providers, support for secure IPsec VPN tunnels between sites, protection against IP Spoofing, and enhanced monitoring of clusters and BGP/OSPF protocols via SNMP.

Kaspersky NGFW is aimed at medium and large organizations. The solution is included in the Russian software registry and certified by FSTEC Russia.
