Russian developer NTC IT "ROSA" announced the completion of beta testing and the release of the commercial version of the corporate operating system ROSA "Khrum" 13, built on the ROSA 13 platform.
The new version is designed for workstations and corporate IT infrastructure, and also supports upgrading from ROSA "Khrum" 12 without reinstalling the system and while preserving user data and domain infrastructure.
The OS received an updated technological base, including the Linux 6.12 kernel, modern versions of system libraries and development tools, as well as support for x86_64, aarch64, loongarch64, riscv64, and e2k architectures. Hardware compatibility has been expanded, and the performance of laptops on Baikal platforms, Xiaomi devices, and certain MacBook models with Intel processors has been improved.
Security mechanisms have been strengthened in the release: executable files are signed with IMA signatures, and the Chromium browser has received support for Russian certificates and GOST cryptographic standards. The KDE Plasma graphical environment, administration tools, update system, and installer have also been updated. The ROSA "Khrum" repository includes over 20 thousand software packages and components.
