"RuPost" Released a Major Update for the WorksPad Platform

The 7.0.0 server and Android WorksPad X clients now feature the first edition of built-in corporate chats.

The company "RuPost" (part of "Astra Group") announced the release of a major update for its WorksPad platform. The server-side received version 7.0.0, and mobile clients for iOS and Android received WorksPad X 2.0.

One of the main innovations in the server was the launch of its own DXNS notification delivery service for Desktop X desktop clients. Now, notifications about new events and emails are sent by a service that operates exclusively within the organization's internal network, without accessing external or cloud resources.

WorksPad X 2.0 mobile applications received a completely redesigned interface. The navigation bar was moved to the bottom of the screen and became customizable, allowing the user to independently select the necessary tools and their order. The application functions as a secure "superapp," combining mail, calendar, contacts, files, browser, and corporate mini-applications, including AI agents, into a single container.

Updates also affected the WorksPad MDM component, which, in conjunction with the MAM SDK, transforms the platform into a full-fledged EMM solution. New tools for managing Android-based devices were added, security policies were expanded, multi-factor authentication was strengthened, and integrations with DLP systems and SIEM were improved.

As a first step towards creating a unified communications circuit, corporate chats were added to the server and Android client. This feature is in the initial stage of development and is intended for preliminary testing.
