Russian software developer SberTech has registered its new database management system (DBMS) O.K.E.A.N. in the registry of domestic software.
According to Maxim Tyatyushev, CEO of SberTech, the system is developed in accordance with global standards and is fully adapted for Russian companies. He noted:
Registration in the domestic software registry confirms that the DBMS is suitable for migration projects from foreign solutions. Our product can become the foundation of a modern IT infrastructure for large enterprises, ensuring technological independence, minimizing security risks, high information protection, and service stability in the long term.
The O.K.E.A.N. DBMS is capable of managing ultra-large volumes of data. Its distributed architecture stores information in the form of linked tables, operates on SQL, and allows for horizontal scaling across hundreds of servers. The developers guarantee "zero data loss and recovery in less than 8 seconds." The system supports simultaneous transaction and analytics processing, efficiently compresses data, and does not require special hardware for deployment.
