At the CIPR conference in Nizhny Novgorod, "Otkrytaya Mobilnaya Platforma" company presented a new version of the trusted operating system "Aurora" 5.2.1, installed on the domestic Kvadra_T tablet. Key changes include support for PWA applications, allowing web applications to be installed from the browser that are indistinguishable from "native" ones.
For the first time, a hybrid workplace mode has been implemented, transforming the tablet into a desktop PC equivalent with the ability to connect a mouse, keyboard, and monitor. Full support for Ethernet connections has been added, which is important for scenarios where wireless networks are prohibited.
The new OS version introduces the ability to connect wired USB cameras and microphones, expanding the functionality of video conferencing and biometric authentication. To enhance security, a local attestation mechanism has been implemented, checking the system for unauthorized component changes. The OS "Aurora" also implements the concept of trusted sources, allowing only cryptographically signed applications to be installed.
OS "Aurora" is actively used in large state-owned companies and organizations.
