"Astra Group" has released an update to the "Astra Monitoring" platform to version 1.4. The key new feature is full-fledged monitoring of Kubernetes clusters, which does not require manual dashboard configuration. A single section of the platform displays the real-time status of the entire cluster and each of its components: nodes, pods, deployments, daemonsets, statefulsets, cronjobs, services, and namespaces.
The platform implements two new types of monitors: by logs and by traces, which allow quickly creating alerting rules and receiving accurate notifications. The distributed tracing function is launched directly from the interface without changing configuration files. The company explained:
Both tools turn "raw" data into accurate alerts in minutes, which is especially valuable for organizations with microservice architecture, where manual analysis of logs and traces requires significant costs and special competencies.
The escalation mechanism has been expanded, and now chains work not only for incidents but also for problems. The platform has received its own authorization service for single sign-on, which simplifies integration with corporate systems.
