A New Version of Rutoken Logon for Linux Has Been Released

Aktiv has released a new version 1.0.5 of the Rutoken Logon software suite for Linux. The update expands two-factor authentication solutions by adding support for modern hardware tokens, software authenticators, new versions of domestic operating systems, and domain controllers.

Thus, Rutoken Logon for Linux version 1.0.5 now supports new Rutoken token models, including Rutoken EDS 3.0 Touch with touch confirmation functionality and Rutoken OTP. Compatibility has been implemented with the domestic software authenticator Yandex ID (formerly Yandex Key).

The ability to use OTP (one-time password) as a second factor for domain authentication in FreeIPA, Dynamic Directory, and ALD Pro has been added. In addition, compatibility with current versions of operating systems and domain controllers has been improved — ROSA Khrom 12.4, Alt OS 11.0, ROSA Dynamic Directory 4.13.0, and Red ADM 2.0.1.

The new version implements a dark theme for login and lock screens, improves message export to syslog, and enhances protection against accidental modification of configuration files. The update is available free of charge for users of version 1.0.0. Rutoken Logon for Linux is licensed based on the number of workstations (individual and group licenses with no expiration date). The package includes scripts for automating deployment, configuration, and joining workstations to a domain.
