Not Dependent on Android and AOSP: "Alt Mobile" 11 Open Operating System Released

Bazalt SPO has released the "Alt Mobile" 11 operating system for mobile devices, designed for use on mobile devices of Russian enterprises and organizations. The new platform is included in the Register of Russian Software.

"Alt Mobile" can be used for performing confidential tasks, reading barcodes and QR codes, monitoring sensors, and automating the work of employees outside the office. The OS supports connecting a keyboard and monitor, adapting the interface to the screen size.

The operating system is available on devices from Russian manufacturers and has also been ported to Pine64 smartphones and Anbernic, PowKiddy, and Retroid game consoles. "Alt Mobile" and the "Alt Workstation" desktop operating system with the GNOME graphical environment share a common application ecosystem. It can be supplemented with programs from the GNOME project, as well as applications developed for customer tasks. Progressive web applications (PWAs) run on "Alt Mobile", and they can be used in the absence of "native" solutions.
