The new version of Astra Linux implements support for verifying GPG keys when connecting repositories. The installation process has become more intelligent: the system automatically assesses the amount of RAM and, if necessary, switches to console mode, and also shows the exact size of the required disk space, taking into account the selected set of applications.
The virt-manager virtual machine manager has received the function of automatically rotating backups and the ability to save them in S3 storage with protective data transformation. Support for virtual multi-touch devices has been added. The containerization system has been updated to Podman 5.6.2 with new commands, libraries, and bug fixes. Remote access via xfreerdp has received support for Kerberos authentication with Network Level Authentication, which protects against MITM ("man in the middle") attacks. Support for relative mouse coordinates in xrdp has been implemented for the correct operation of 3D applications, CAD/CAE systems, and virtualization programs. Working with multiple monitors has become more convenient: desktop icons can be assigned to a specific monitor, and the system automatically restores the usual configuration when reconnected.
The event logging subsystem has been supplemented with the ability to send repeated notifications about critical situations: insufficient RAM, disk space, or exhaustion of the disk quota. System notifications have been added about the expiration of the password, which allows users to plan its change in advance and avoid blocking access. The driver management module now saves the results of video card performance testing to compare different versions of drivers.
