The Neo repository is a service for delivering popular and up-to-date free software and administration and development tools, available as part of technical support at all levels. All software versions with open source code and software components included in the repository are checked for known viruses and tested for compatibility with the operating system.
Holders of active technical support certificates of all levels can create a request to add new software components to the repository. According to "Astra Group", active filling of the Neo repository and inclusion of software that is popular in communities and actively used by developing software components is planned within the next quarter. Including such as: utilities for increasing the productivity of administration and collecting information about the network infrastructure, graphical interfaces for monitoring and troubleshooting, tools for developers, including programming languages, frameworks and libraries.
The innovations also affected medium and small businesses. According to the license agreement, SMBs are commercial organizations that are not part of a holding structure, with an average headcount of up to 2.5 thousand employees. According to "Astra Group", in 2025, the number of such commercial customers of Astra Linux OS in the desktop edition increased by 32.8%.
Dmitry Chubanov, Astra Linux Desktop product manager, said:
We conducted a series of interviews with clients and found out that the requirements for technical support for corporations and SMB companies differ significantly. Some services turned out to be irrelevant for medium and small businesses. Based on the identified key needs, we have developed two new levels of technical support - "Basic" and "Advanced", which are suitable for the medium business segment both in terms of the range of services and in terms of cost. Both levels include the possibility of switching to the next Astra Linux updates and, along with the "Standard" and "Privileged" levels, give customers the right to request the addition of the necessary software and administration tools to the Neo repository.
