The Sber team has introduced a new version of the integrated development environment - GigaIDE Pro, which is designed to replace foreign counterparts and is suitable for use in closed corporate networks and on-premise environments. This was announced at the CIPR conference by Andrey Belevtsev, Senior Vice President, Head of the Technology Development unit at Sberbank.
According to the top manager, the product reduces dependence on foreign platforms, ensuring the stability and security of IT processes. The development environment supports remote work with distributed infrastructures, simplifies editing and synchronization of files, and also offers deep integration with Russian testing systems such as Test IT and Test Ops.
In addition, the new version of the product has made it easier to navigate the code for the Spring and Jakarta frameworks, and tools for quickly creating projects on Django and Flask have been added for Python development. The corporate delivery also includes a local marketplace with open-source plugins that have been tested for security.
As a reminder, in June 2024, Sber presented the community version of GigaIDE Desktop, which is freely available to users of the GitVerse platform for working with source code. The environment allows development in popular programming languages, ensures compatibility with popular plugins and a familiar user experience.
