Guild "Frontiers of Science" awarded the finalists of the technology competition for the exploration of the Moon's South Pole

The competition was held with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia in conjunction with ANO "IT-Planet" as part of the International Olympiad "IT-Planet 2025". Participants had to develop web applications for planning infrastructure, distributing resources, and managing the life support of the future lunar station.

· 482 applications were received from students and young professionals from different regions of Russia.

· 46 participants (17 teams) reached the on-site final, which took place on May 23-24 in Moscow.

· The 10 best teams presented their projects to an expert jury.

The jury evaluated functionality, UX/UI design, integration of third-party modules, and compliance with the mission objectives.

The prize places were distributed as follows:

1. 1st place - 3Dev team (Sevastopol State University) - 150,000 rubles.

2. 2nd place - MoonBaseCore team (Moscow Automobile and Road Construction University, MADI) - 100,000 rubles.

3. 3rd place - Moon Tilda team (Prokopyevsk Mining Technical School) - 50,000 rubles.

The winners will also receive expert support to refine their projects, and their educational institutions and mentors will receive special awards.

The Moon's South Pole is a promising location for creating a base due to its reserves of water ice, which is necessary for life support. Participants developed solutions for:

· Optimal placement of residential, scientific, and infrastructural modules.

· Management of energy resources and logistics.

· Ensuring the safety and autonomy of the station.

"We are proud that young professionals from all over Russia are participating in such ambitious projects. Their work is not only technological solutions but also a creative approach to space exploration," noted Galina Malygina, co-founder of the Guild "Frontiers of Science".

The Guild "Frontiers of Science", founded in 2024 by the creators of the company "Motorica", supports fundamental science and space research. The "Space Cup" competition is part of a program to develop innovative technologies for deep space.
