The first generation of Kodify has been used by development teams in companies within PJSC "MTS" since 2024. Now, MTS AI will commercialize this product — the AI assistant will be available to external customers.
Kodify 2 offers core functionality for automating and accelerating the development process, including code autocompletion, error correction, test and documentation generation, code optimization for improved performance, and text-to-code conversion.
The AI assistant contains 7 billion parameters, supports a context length of up to 32,768 tokens, and comes with an OpenAI-compatible API for easy integration with other systems.
MTS emphasized that comparative tests showed that Kodify 2 is comparable in capabilities to GitHub Copilot, considered a leader among AI solutions for developers. In test generation, Kodify 2 performed the task as well or better in 57% of cases, and in text-to-code conversion — in 48% of cases. Testing was conducted using direct comparison and evaluation of the two assistants by a judge model. Claude Sonnet 3.5 was chosen as such a model.
Pavel Voronin, CEO of MTS Web Services, noted:
The amount of code created at MTS using artificial intelligence is constantly growing. In the first quarter of 2025, with the help of AI assistants, including Kodify 2, we increased this figure from 8% to 15%. AI assistants help save one of the most valuable resources — a programmer's working time. By delegating routine functions to artificial intelligence, the developer frees up to 4 hours a week, which they can spend on solving more complex and creative tasks.
