The Solar system is designed to meet modern requirements for security, performance and scalability. It:
· Does not use foreign databases, which eliminates the risks associated with sanctions restrictions and termination of support.
· Provides a threefold increase in performance, speeding up transaction processing.
· Expands the product line, allowing the bank to offer customers new financial solutions.
· Guarantees a higher level of security.
Migration to the new platform is scheduled for the night of March 21 to 22, when customer activity is minimal. To complete the procedure, a temporary suspension of a number of services will be required, but all systems will be restored on Saturday morning, ensuring a seamless continuation of customer service.
The transition to a new technology stack, including PostgreSQL, Java and Kafka, will allow:
· Increase fault tolerance and ensure uninterrupted operation of the system.
· Scale capacity, adapting to the growing needs of customers.
· Guarantee data protection and compliance with high cybersecurity standards.
Sergey Simonenko, Director of Information Technology at OTP Bank, noted:
“The transition to a modern technology stack will ensure reliability, fault tolerance, scalability and security of card processing. The successful migration, which can take place either in one go or in several stages, was made possible thanks to the partnership with Solanteq and the close cooperation of all bank services over the past year.”
