The program includes Smart Engines' Low-Code solution for recognizing and verifying the authenticity of identification documents and non-biometric face matching, Smart ID Engine. The system easily integrates into any customer application, allowing for faster onboarding, customer service, new employee registration, and increased sales funnel conversion. Thanks to the use of the company's unique development - ultra-lightweight 4.6-bit neural networks - the technology provides high speed and accuracy of recognition without the use of GPUs. The recognition time for the main passport spread data is 0.15 seconds, and the page with registration is 0.4 seconds.
The Smart ID Engines software solution can automatically extract data from all pages of the Russian passport, including handwritten fields of the main spread, printed and handwritten registration address, and all other stamps. The system can also recognize driver's licenses, SNILS, vehicle registration certificates, vehicle passports, birth certificates, and more than 2700 types of identification documents in 103 languages.
To protect businesses and citizens from fraudulent activities, the solution includes verification of the authenticity of passports and other documents based on more than 60 parameters. During the customer identification process, non-biometric face matching will be available to program participants. The system compares two images - a photograph in the document and a selfie of the presenter - and gives an assessment of how similar they are, without extracting biometric descriptors.
Smart Engines systems do not require internet access and operate on-premise within the customer's infrastructure. During the recognition process, data and images are not transmitted to cloud services or third parties, which ensures the security of personal data processing for both the document presenter and the business.
“Today, Smart Engines is a technology provider of artificial intelligence to VTB, Alfa-Bank, Sovcombank, T-Bank, MTS, the Federal Tax Service, Russian Railways, and other large companies that are at the forefront of digital transformation. The main criteria for their choice of document recognition system are accuracy, speed, technological and information security. We see a need for AI-based recognition systems from small and medium-sized businesses and want our technologies to be accessible to absolutely everyone,” comments Vladimir Arlazorov, General Director of Smart Engines, Doctor of Technical Sciences.
Smart Engines products are compatible with “Aurora”, Android, iOS, MS Windows, Linux, “Elbrus”, RED OS, Astra Linux, ALT Linux operating systems and provide seamless integration with 1C, other HR, accounting and RPA systems.
Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia assigned the status of AI software to all Smart Engines software products. Organizations that implement AI systems in their processes can receive benefits from the state, including a reduction in income tax payments. This support measure was introduced in 2023 to stimulate demand for domestic software and high-tech equipment.
