The program includes Smart Engines' Low-Code solution for recognizing and verifying the authenticity of identification documents and non-biometric face verification, Smart ID Engine. The system easily integrates into any customer application, allows you to speed up onboarding, customer service, registration of new employees and increase the conversion of the sales funnel. Thanks to the use of the company's unique development - ultra-light 4.6-bit neural networks - the technology provides high speed and recognition accuracy without the use of GPUs. The recognition time of the main passport spread data is 0.15 seconds, and the page with registration is 0.4 seconds.
The Smart ID Engines software solution can automatically extract data from all pages of the Russian passport, including handwritten fields of the main spread, printed and handwritten registration address and all other stamps. The system can also recognize a driver's license, SNILS, vehicle registration certificate, vehicle passport, birth certificate and more than 2,700 types of identification documents in 103 languages.
To ensure the protection of businesses and citizens from fraudulent activities, the solution implements verification of the authenticity of passports and other documents according to more than 60 parameters. In the process of identifying clients, participants of the program will have access to non-biometric face verification. The system compares two images - a photograph in the document and a selfie of the presenter - and gives an assessment of how similar they are, without highlighting biometric descriptors.
Smart Engines systems do not require Internet access and work on-premise within the customer's perimeter. During the recognition process, data and images are not transmitted to cloud services or third parties, which ensures the security of personal data processing for the presenter of documents and business.
“Today Smart Engines is a supplier of artificial intelligence technologies to VTB, Alfa-Bank, Sovcombank, T-Bank, MTS, the Federal Tax Service, Russian Railways and other large companies that are at the forefront of digital transformation. The main criteria for their choice of document recognition system are accuracy, speed, technological and information security. We see a need for AI-based recognition systems from small and medium-sized businesses and want our technologies to be available to absolutely everyone,” comments Vladimir Arlazarov, General Director of Smart Engines, Doctor of Technical Sciences Vladimir Arlazarov.
Smart Engines products are compatible with the operating systems “Aurora”, Android, iOS, MS Windows, Linux, “Elbrus”, RED OS, Astra Linux, ALT Linux and provide seamless integration with 1C, other personnel, accounting and RPA systems.
Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia assigned the status of AI software to all Smart Engines software products. Organizations that implement AI systems in their processes can receive benefits from the state, including a reduction in income tax payments. This support measure was introduced in 2023 to stimulate demand for domestic software and high-tech equipment.
