On September 14, the award ceremony took place at MEGA Belaya Dacha. Public recognition was given to companies such as Vega Hotel and Congress Center, BEST DINNER pet food, Amstor, Rosatom State Corporation, the Russian email marketing service Unisender in collaboration with the Teddy Food charity platform, PiCats Hotel, and Utair Airlines.
The participants and their initiatives reminded us not to forget Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's quote: "You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed." Undoubtedly, many pet owners give their pets due attention in the form of basic care. However, this is often not enough for the full well-being of pets. Lack of personal space and proper nutrition can lead to behavioral problems and deterioration of the animal's health. As Svetlana Beschastnova, General Director of Amstor LLC, notes: "To ensure an animal is healthy and happy, it is not enough to simply feed and walk it (or clean the litter box, if it is a cat). Pets, like us, need games, personal space, and 'property' (bowls, toys), as well as tasty and proper food. All this provides dogs and cats with a truly fulfilling life and improves their well-being."
For the comfort of animals, a pet-friendly culture is actively developing today. For this area, the organizers of the BEST FOR PETS Award established a special category with nominations. After all, the growing demand for travel with pets requires the hotel business to revise its approaches to serving this category of customers. An important aspect is not only the availability of accommodation with a pet, but also a guarantee of their safety and comfort. "The modern trend of traveling with pets is strengthening its position: we see this, including the growing number of guests with animals in our hotel. For this category of guests, it is important not only to be able to stay with a pet in the room, but also to guarantee its safety and comfort. At the Vega Hotel, we approached this issue quite seriously: we allocated special rooms, concluded partnership agreements with pet brands and nearby veterinary clinics. Guests gratefully accept such services and return to us again," comments Valery Maksimov, General Director of Vega TGC JSC.
This year, the panel, which included leading experts and practitioners in the field of the pet industry, carefully evaluated the submitted applications. Each nomination reflects a wide range of areas: from the best animal transportation service to the volunteer project of the year. The jury includes animal rights activists and representatives of the scientific community, which ensures a high degree of expertise and objectivity in the selection of winners.
The organizers of the BEST FOR PETS Award strive to continue the development of their initiatives and support qualitative changes in the pet industry.
