From August 5 to September 7, the free educational future festival "Portal 2030–2050" was held at the "Skolkovo" Innovation Center, which combined a business program, excursions for citizens, an art exhibition, as well as a competition of digital artists and an electronic music festival.
"Over the month, the "Portal 2030-2050" festival in Skolkovo was visited by over 180,000 Muscovites and visitors to the capital, who were able to immerse themselves in the world of innovation and find out what future technologies are being developed in the capital today, get acquainted with advanced domestic developments, and learn from leading scientists and experts how science will change our lives in the near future," emphasized Kristina Kostroma, Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the City of Moscow.
A business program was held from September 6 to 7. It was attended by more than 70 speakers — leading experts in the field of technology and innovation from Russia, Brazil, India, China, Nigeria and other countries. They discussed trends in life in a metropolis in the perspective of the 2030–2050s and technological breakthroughs that await us in the near future.
As part of 8 educational excursion routes around the Skolkovo Innovation Center, more than 4 thousand people got acquainted with the developments and laboratories of residents and partners. The most popular were the "Robotics" and "Professions of the Future" excursions. Including, an excursion was held for more than 80 children and their accompanying relatives evacuated from the Kursk region to a temporary accommodation center in the Moscow region, with the support of the Governments of Moscow and the Moscow region, the Institute of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.
The festival also hosted an exhibition dedicated to the theme of the present and the future. It featured 15 large-scale installations, including a figure of an astronaut over 12 meters high, an interactive art object with artificial intelligence, and a unicorn symbolizing the success of domestic startups.
From September 5 to 7, more than 25 world and Russian stars of electronic music performed at the festival. Also during these days, a screening of works by finalists of the international competition among digital artists was held.
