Users need to register in the new application and reconfigure the devices they use. To use Alice, in the "Smart Home with Alice" application, you should remove the old EKF Connect skill along with the devices and add the new EKF Connect Home. The new application has a beautiful and user-friendly interface, and it is also possible to receive notifications about smart home events not only in the application itself, but also through a bot in Telegram. The server side of the new application and all user data are located in Russia and hosted in Yandex Cloud.
"The uniqueness of EKF Connect Home lies in the ability to offer the market a smart home solution based on our IoT platform, completely independent of foreign servers and clouds. By the end of this year, we plan to launch a new line of smart devices. For us, this is a step to a qualitatively new level of reliability," said Artyom Sergeev, Director of the New Businesses business unit at EKF.
In addition, EKF brand plans to launch certification of electricians for the installation of a smart home system in the near future. The first introductory webinar took place on April 26 and attracted the attention of not only specialized electricians, but also homeowners interested in smart home issues.
Currently, among the supported devices of EKF Connect Home are: lamps, luminaires, LED strips, sockets and extension cords, cameras and sensors, thermoregulators, remote controls and relays, as well as ePRO24 Home controllers.
