Wareus is a storage system based on the Aquarius server equipment model range and the Wareus software suite (SW), running on the Alt Server 10 operating system. As part of the testing, the correctness and efficiency of the hardware, software, and OS were checked. Aquarius specialists also carried out work to optimize certain performance-critical Wareus software components of the Alt Server 10 OS. Wareus software is a modern solution for petabyte-class storage systems and provides performance of over 1 million IOPS.
Wareus storage systems are designed for a wide range of tasks, both general-purpose and mission-critical, including storing virtualization system data, ensuring the operation of high-performance database management systems (DBMS), storing media content, providing efficient access to archived data of industrial automation systems for critical information infrastructure (CII) facilities, backup tasks, and others.
Wareus software performs basic storage system management functions, such as managing physical media, RAID (RAID4, RAID5, RAID6, RAID Multi Mirror), disk groups and pools, volumes and operations with them (creating snapshots, cloning), storage system client hosts, and servicing high-speed interconnects.
