The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, Vladimir Vasilyev. The plenary session began with a speech by the Deputy Chairman of the Government - Minister of Economic Development of the Tver Region, Ivan Egorov. After him, the Executive Director of the Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises (APKIT), Nikolai Komlev, and the First Vice President of the Aquarius Group of Companies, Dmitry Titov, representatives of Sber, Yandex and other technology enterprises made presentations.
In addition to plans to automate and improve the level of education and qualifications of employees, the top manager of Aquarius spoke about how low unemployment in the region and rising wages are encouraging the company to look for new technological solutions, introduce innovations, standardize and unify production activities. The growing interest in the company's products abroad indicates that Aquarius is moving in the right direction: “The Aquarius Days event in Myanmar was a great success a week ago.” In his closing remarks, Vladimir Vasilyev also noted that the example of Aquarius shows that “we have come a long way.”
Within the framework of the event, an agreement was signed between the government of the Tver region, Aquarius and APKIT on holding a joint conference “Teaching IT in Russia” in May 2024. In an era of changing the significance of some IT professions to others, a change of vector is needed in the system of specialized education and the approach to training digital personnel, especially in the regions. The conference plans to discuss current challenges in the educational process, the need to update programs and involve industrial experts.
