«Базис» выпустил универсальный продукт для повышения отказоустойчивости ИТ-инфраструктуры Базис.Virtual Protect

Basis.Virtual Protect provides tools for backing up Kubernetes clusters and virtual machine disks.

According to the developers, Basis.Virtual Protect allows you to manage the entire virtual system backup process through an intuitive web interface, connect and maintain multiple clusters at once. In addition, system users are able to select a set of resources for backups and recovery, schedule resource backups, use S3-compatible storage for storing backups, and migrate from cluster to cluster within the same cloud platform. All of this should reduce the risks associated with data loss for the client, as well as significantly save resources on managing complex virtual systems in general.

"Modern enterprises operate in conditions of high complexity, uncertainty and dynamism of the surrounding socio-economic environment. The increase in the amount of information, the complexity of management tasks, the need to take into account a large number of interrelated exogenous and endogenous factors lead to the need to use modern information technologies. The development of methods for regulating the operation of enterprises based on Russian management elements is an important step towards the establishment of technological sovereignty. Until now, the country has mainly been adapting ready-made foreign developments. Basis.Virtual Protect is the most advanced domestic product in this segment. In addition, it has a number of unique advantages. The main advantage is that it reduces the time to configure backups or restore clusters and virtual machine disks, as these operations are carried out through an intuitive web interface," explains Dmitry Sorokin, Technical Director of Basis.

Data backup and protection in virtual systems is one of the market trends, and the demand for solving such problems among enterprises is particularly high. Basis.Virtual Protect was developed precisely to solve specific business tasks: ensuring cluster backup, optimizing resource consumption, increasing the reliability of solutions based on Kubernetes clusters, and flexibility in choosing backup storage.

"The Kubernetes cluster in the modern world has become the de facto standard for application deployment. More and more companies are using this product in their development cycle. In this regard, the question often arises about the safety, recovery of data and resources during and after failures. Due to the heterogeneity of solutions, there is no single one that would satisfy all the criteria. However, now domestic enterprises have access to Basis.Virtual Protect," added Dmitry Sorokin, Technical Director of Basis.

Representatives of "Basis" also emphasize that the company provides not just individual solutions, such as Basis.Virtual Protect or Basis.DynamiX. "Basis" is a full-fledged ecosystem of several products, a unified management system that covers the IaaS and PaaS segments. Currently, the company is actively developing complex cloud systems based on the largest domestic companies, including Russian Railways, Rostelecom, Rosatom, and GosOblako.
