Maxim, major appliances are one of the more conservative categories on the market, especially when it comes to the kitchen. What are some of the newest and most advanced solutions you could tell us about?
Modern kitchens have become not only a place for cooking but also a space for communication and creativity. However, users still need to organize space for various appliances, such as a stove, refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and other equipment, often in a limited space.
I would like to focus on refrigerators. Manufacturers strive to offer models that not only have modern technological capabilities but can also serve as a decorative element, reflecting current trends in interior design.
What, for example, can the familiar refrigerator surprise us with now?
The refrigerator is an important element in any home. Unlike washing machines and dishwashers, it is impossible to do without a refrigerator, and its functionality is of great importance. Built-in refrigerators can look aesthetically pleasing and harmonious because they are integrated into the kitchen set and hidden behind the facade. However, it is worth considering that such models may lose some of their useful volume. On the other hand, free-standing refrigerators often protrude noticeably beyond the boundaries of the set and can disrupt the harmony in the interior. Developers are constantly looking for solutions that combine aesthetics and functionality, striving to maintain the maximum internal volume of the refrigerator compartment.
How did you manage to do this?
In new designs, the refrigerator has a gap of only 4 mm on the sides, which allows it to fit better into the kitchen space. At the same time, the depth of the device is 600 mm, which corresponds to the standard depth of kitchen cabinets. This simplifies installation, as the refrigerator can be placed in a special niche. The issue of heat dissipation in this case is solved by the lower part of the body, which allows you to move away from the traditional technological gap of 5 cm. The refrigerator does not protrude beyond the general line of the kitchen facade, which creates the impression of a built-in device. Innovative hinges allow you to open the doors by more than 90°, which is useful when placing the refrigerator in cramped conditions, for example, next to a wall. This approach allows you to maintain not only the aesthetic appearance of the kitchen but also provides sufficient volume of the device, corresponding to modern trends in interior design.
And what about technology, what should you pay attention to besides the usual NoFrost? What's new here?
Modern refrigerators usually have a well-thought-out storage system that allows you to effectively use the internal space of both the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Some models have zones with adjustable temperature, as well as sterilization zones. The humidity in the drawers for vegetables and fruits can vary depending on the desired temperature. After conducting an internal examination, I can say that the shelf life of fresh products increases. For example, chilled meat and fish can be stored for up to seven days. In addition, they retain their taste qualities longer. In modern models, you can notice the possibility of connecting to "Smart Home" systems. Control via a mobile application opens up new functions. This can expand the functionality of the refrigerator and simplifies the solution of everyday tasks for the user.
