According to Marina Polyanskaya, this year, this product category has undergone significant changes both in positioning and in the formation of the model range, as well as in the circuitry and component base of the devices.
Power supplies were the first product that Hyper started manufacturing. It has been on the market since 2001. It was the power supplies that gave the Hyper brand its start and development. And for a long time, it was the only product that the company produced.
So, what have we changed in the power supplies that have been selling successfully for 23 years? Over the past year, we have completely revised our model range and found weaknesses and areas that we can improve. We have improved the circuitry, worked on improving the component layout and updating the operating logic of the devices, so that each device, taking into account its purpose and its target use cases, meets the tasks that users set for our devices. We have worked on updating and changing the component base. I will explain how changes were made at the component base level that allowed us to increase the performance and improve the quality of more powerful devices, while maintaining the quality and performance, the efficiency of devices in the lower home and office segment, while maintaining a competitive price. Accordingly, the first two points of changes that we made led to a positive change in performance and quality. But in order for all this to work stably, we also worked on cooling our devices.
There is one important change that does not directly concern the technical part of our power supplies, but is important in our work. After conducting a small survey and collecting feedback from our partners, we noticed that many do not have a clear understanding of which power supply to use for which purpose. Previously, our entire model range was a set of various abbreviations and letter names for the power supply line. It was the HPA, HPV, HPM, HPV series, etc. If you have worked with our power supplies, you know that last year the power supply portfolio had more than ten lines of blocks with various letter abbreviations. And when I started talking to our partners about whether they knew how one line differed from another, I realized that these names were misleading and did not allow them to correctly segment and separate power supplies taking into account their target use cases, taking into account the audience for which this or that power supply is intended. That is why now, in addition to the technical changes to the power supplies that we have made, we have also worked on marketing changes to the positioning of the devices that we produce. And now absolutely all our power supplies that the company produces are divided into series.
Each series is suitable for a specific task that this power supply solves. These are power supplies for the office, for the home, for multimedia. These are power supplies that are suitable for devices with high loads and high performance requirements. These are power supplies with high reliability and safety of the devices in which this power supply is installed.
Each series in its name demonstrates the scope of application for which this power supply is intended.
The ECO series is an option for corporate builds.
These are the power supplies and devices that we can recommend to partners who are engaged in the independent assembly of office PCs and some office systems. These are power supplies that are suitable for simple solutions. We are not talking here about using these power supplies for any gaming builds. But, if we are talking about budget models, about entry-level power supplies, then this is exactly the ECO series. This series includes power supplies ranging from 400 W to 650 W. Thus, we cover the need for any tasks in this series, whether it is an office PC on some standard Celeron processor. You can easily find a power supply solution in this series to power this computer. It is worth noting that a power factor corrector is not available in the ECO series, but at the same time, a good component base is used in these solutions. Here we use capacitors from a reliable Chinese manufacturer. We do not use products from any no-name component manufacturers. Absolutely all power supplies, even the most budget-friendly ones, are tested on our benches under load and are tested for reliability. We test all power supplies in maximum mode. Moreover, the test requirements or the number of tests and testing that our power supplies undergo are absolutely the same for a budget solution at 400 W as for power supplies at 1300 W. It is clear that the expectations from them are different, but at the same time, the set of tests that we conduct in order to be confident in the quality of these devices is the same. I want to note that, given the offers for power supplies from our competitors on the Russian market, this point becomes very important. In all our power supplies, we do not overestimate the wattage of the devices, and all the characteristics that we declare correspond to reality and what is actually installed in the unit. This, unfortunately, does not happen with all our competitors. Therefore, when you calculate the required power of the power supply for your build, you can be sure that the Hyper power supply delivers exactly the power that is stated in all its specifications.
Regarding availability. Since this series is intended for assemblers, integrators, and budget solutions, we pay considerable attention to pricing in this series. A flexible pricing system always applies to integrators, wholesale buyers, and dealers.
As for service support, we provide warranty service for all our devices. Initially, we provide a standard one-year warranty and a three-year service life for all our devices. But we also have the option of extending service support and the warranty period.
The next series is Init. The Init series is a universal budget line of power supplies that are already supplied with a passive power factor corrector.
These power supplies are available in a silver case and are supplied in both OEM and boxed versions. The series is suitable for integrators who need these devices for assembly, but these devices are also perfect for retail sales if you have a wholesale sales channel, because boxed solutions are always more convenient to work with for resale if you are not buying them for yourself, for the needs of your company, or for your own assembly. In general, the only difference between this line and the ECO series is the passive power factor corrector; in all other characteristics, this power supply has no fundamental differences. These devices are also suitable for office and home PCs. And they also use Chinese Chenvix capacitors.
The Init+ series is an improved Init series, and it is distinguished by the fact that it already uses reactive simode, which is important if you are equipping the workplace of a demanding user, and it is important for you that, in addition to performance, there is also additional power safety for your device. All power supplies are equipped with a cable.
The Init+ series comes in a black case. They are available in both OEM and boxed versions. That is, these are devices that are suitable for both self-assembly and wholesale, so that they are convenient to transport. And here we continue to use Chinese capacitors. I will say right away about the component base that I will highlight separately the series in which the component base will differ. In all our other power supplies that are focused on office builds, we have Chinese-made capacitors.
The next line is the BASE series.
The BASE series is a kind of legendary line. This is a line that has been in the Hyper model range for decades. This series is suitable for high-performance and demanding workstations, personal devices. These are power supplies that are suitable for PCs with resource-intensive tasks. What changes have we made here? First, we replaced the multi-colored power cables with flat black FLAT cables, which makes the assembly much more aesthetically pleasing, even in your home or office PC. Here we have an ActivePFC module and a reliable component base. The component manufacturers used here have been tested for years. These are manufacturers who have been specializing in the production of components for over 50 years, so this series is reliable and can be safely used in all builds. In this line, the power supply case is black. However, in this series, we only produce boxed devices. There is no OEM solution here. Starting with this line, we use the boxed version. In this line, we do not have cable management, all cables are non-removable here. In general, if we talk about the BASE line, this is a solution that can cope with everyday loads for any tasks. That is, even if the workplace that you want to equip with this power supply is used for different tasks, both for standard Excel and for working with high-performance programs, and if you like to play sometimes, then in general you can use the BASE series. Its technical characteristics are enough to ensure that your workplace works stably and predictably.
The next line is MULTI. This is a line that is certified to the 80pluse BRONZE standard. This line has power supplies that are presented without cable management, but there are also power supplies with available full cable management. In this line, you can choose a device of any power. From the technical characteristics and technical changes that this line has undergone, here we use an ActivePFC module. Here we use a DC-DC voltage converter, which is important if we are talking about gaming PCs and devices that require high efficiency. In addition, these devices use 2 filters that are more optimal at the power input and allow you to dampen electrical interference. Yes, 80pluse is real, confirmed by certificates. Here even the slide says that this is not the presence of a certificate, but compliance with the 80+ certificate, i.e. this device, when passing all the tests required to obtain a certificate, meets the stated characteristics.
The next line is the Active series. This series complies with the 80pluse Gold certificate. The power supply efficiency reaches up to 93% of the declared power. This line includes power supplies with a power ranging from 600 to 1300 W.
These power supplies are suitable for home gaming PCs, as well as for mining PCs, or simply for lovers of high power. Almost the entire series is equipped with full cable management. The component base of the Active series, as well as the MULTI series, uses Japanese Nippon capacitors. These are two lines that differ in the component base from standard office power supplies, simpler budget and basic lines in our range. The Active series is a device that, in terms of technical characteristics, is the top of the entire Hyper power supply line. This is a device with high performance, with an active power factor corrector, with flat black FLAT cables, with cable management.
In these power supplies, we have improved the cooling system. Here we have installed 12-centimeter coolers so that these devices can cope well with cooling. In addition, all our power supplies have protection against overheating, overvoltage and short circuit, regardless of the line and series.
Power supplies in our portfolio are divided into two form factors. There are ATX form factor power supplies, and there are MINI power supplies, these are FLEX ATX, these are small form factor power supplies, compact, which are designed for small cases. At the moment, we are expanding this line, and we will soon provide a wider selection of power supplies in this line to the Russian market.
All Hyper power supplies can be purchased from OCS. In a month, these devices will arrive at the warehouse, and in your pre-New Year builds, builds during the fourth quarter, you can already use our solutions. Well, now you can go to the B2B of our partner, leave reservations, leave pre-orders, see prices and talk to our colleagues from Hyper, who will tell you more about each of our lines, and about each power supply that you are interested in.
The next product group is uninterruptible power supplies. They are presented in the form of three lines.
These are the INLINE, NEO and VORTEX lines. What is important is that in our uninterruptible power supplies we use modern components, we use new technologies in the form of LiFePO4 batteries, we use various custom solutions, and in this product group you can send us your technical specifications, your characteristics that you or your customer need, and for your needs our presales department will select a suitable solution. These can be both linear interactive uninterruptible power supplies and backup uninterruptible power supplies.
Now about the warranty service. For all our devices, whether it is power supplies or uninterruptible power supplies, we provide a standard warranty of 12 months.
It is possible to extend the warranty for this device up to 3 years. 24 months is the service life of these solutions. For specific projects, it is possible to make changes to the component base, which allow you to extend the service life, and, accordingly, the warranty period to a longer period of operation.
Service support for our devices is valid throughout Russia, as well as Belarus and Kazakhstan. You can contact the service centers that are listed on our website in the service support section, and you can also contact the company's employees for assistance, who will give you qualified assistance, advice and support on where to go and what to do if you suddenly encounter some kind of warranty case in the operation of our power supplies.
