The line includes models with a power of 1 kVA to 10 kVA in a convertible format (both for rack and floor installation) with dimensions from 2U (1-3 kVA) to 5U (5-10 kVA, two-module design). The Smart-Save Online SRT line has 9 power options, models of various depths. In addition, model options differ in the presence of an SNMP card in the kit, and for a 2 kVA device, a reduced depth modification is provided.
The SRTSE3000RTXLI-NC UPS, designed, as the name implies, for 3 kVA and 3kW, allows you to provide uninterrupted power to virtualization servers, medium-sized storage systems, communication and other equipment. The basic installation option is a "tower". To mount in a server rack, you must additionally purchase the SE1RK mounting kit.
The manufacturer notes the following key features of the model:
· unity output power factor;
· possibility of rack or tower installation;
· large number of output connectors;
· managed outlet group;
· powerful charger up to 8A;
· connection of up to 10 external battery packs;
· SNMP card included (in models with the NC suffix);
· electronic "bypass" mode.
The UPS package includes C13-C14, C19-Schuko, C19-C20, RS-232 and USB cables, feet for floor installation and documentation.
The SNMP management card is also included, but the rails for rack mounting must be ordered separately. There is also an environmental sensor and other modules in the options.
The case is made of metal, the overall dimensions correspond to standard 2U equipment for rack installation. The layout is traditional for this type of equipment. Behind the plastic front panel is an internal SERBC196 battery pack, consisting of six standard 9 A*h lead-acid batteries, which can be replaced without stopping the UPS.
On the right is a large liquid crystal screen displaying the current operating status of the UPS, including voltage, battery charge levels and load consumption, and infographics of the current operating mode, as well as three control buttons. Through this display, you can implement 19 UPS settings. Note that the screen unit can be rotated for ease of use in a horizontal format. In the previous version, it was in a vertical format.
On the back there are two cooling fans for the electronic circuits of the UPS, a slot with a pre-installed network monitoring and management card and a port for an external sensor in it, an EPO emergency shutdown port, USB and RS-232 ports, a connector for connecting additional external batteries, eight C13 output ports and one C19 output port, a C20 input, an automatic switch and a screw grounding terminal.

Installation and connection are straightforward. A standard C20 connector is used to supply power, which requires a 16 A supply.
Four of the eight C13 outputs are controllable. This can be used, for example, to disconnect non-critical loads in the event of a power failure to increase operating time. The built-in software allows you to pre-configure the conditions for disconnecting the group, or to quickly manage it.
The model supports the connection of up to ten external BPSE72RT2U additional battery packs, which significantly increases the battery life of the equipment - in the maximum version with the maximum load, you can count on more than three hours. However, do not forget that with an increase in capacity, the required charging time also increases. This is partially compensated for by the ability to increase the charging current up to 8 A via the device menu.
The screen displays all the basic information about the UPS operation, including the current operating scheme, voltage/current/frequency, temperature, battery charge level, load consumption level, estimated battery life of the load and other data. The buttons can be used to change the settings and operating modes of the device. The settings menu contains about two dozen parameters, the description of which is given in the documentation.
As expected from equipment of this level, here we see various control interface options. At the same time, USB supports standard protocols and can work in modern OS without drivers. RS-232 is now obsolete, but may still be required for certain installations. But, of course, the most relevant is monitoring via a local network via SNMP. Additionally, when connecting an external sensor, the UPS can monitor temperature and humidity, as well as two pairs of dry contacts (for example, they can be used to monitor the opening of server rack doors). If necessary, the module can be replaced with a version with ModBus bus support.
For convenient local operation with USB or RS-232, the proprietary free Parachute software is used. This utility is available in versions for Windows, Linux and macOS. When connecting via SNMP it is recommended to use Parachute Pro and manage via a Web browser. Note that Parachute Pro software allows you to manage multiple UPSs on the local network at once.
When using a network card, the manufacturer's free SNMP Web Manager and SNMP Web Pro web interface are used. The standard functions of the intelligent control card include setting up UPS operating parameters, scheduled UPS testing operations, event logging and daily reports, email and SMS notifications (with an external modem connected to the control card), power management of external systems via WOL and the Shutdown Wizard utility. An ACL function is provided to restrict access. Thanks to the standard SNMP protocol and the provided MIB file, integration with third-party monitoring systems is possible.
The SRTSE3000RTXLI-NC UPS uses a modern and high-quality component base, has all the relevant functions and capabilities for effective use in the SMB segment to protect IT equipment - it has a compact size, flexible control options and supports the connection of external batteries to significantly increase the duration of autonomous operation. The standard equipment warranty is two years and can be extended up to five years.
