This is the second operational update for RuBackup 2.0 - 2.0 Update 2, which expands the system's functionality and increases its stability.
The company "Rubackup" (part of the "Astra Group") announced the release of a new version of the backup system (CBS) RuBackup 2.0 - 2.0 Update 2.
It adds the ability to log information security events, which allows you to track user actions in the product. Also among the main innovations is authentication via Microsoft Active Directory, which maximizes the system's interaction with the user and reduces the risk of hacker attacks.
In the module for agentless backup VMware vSphere, the default settings for restoring virtual machines have been changed. In addition, the advanced version of the CBS has expanded and updated product documentation.
Among the most important complex changes is the stabilization of the mechanism for switching from the main RuBackup server to the backup server and back. The new release also includes targeted improvements based on user feedback and fixes a number of minor errors that cause incorrect operation of the system and its components - a total of more than ten functions have been modernized.

The RuBackup system is designed for automated backup and recovery of virtual machines, databases, physical servers, data centers and cloud services. The use of the system allows you to protect data in any IT infrastructures: from the simplest to complex multi-level corporate information systems. The solution is registered in the "Register of Russian Software" of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation under No. 6808 dated 07/16/2020.
