Sberbank's new service was developed to further the simplified procedure for obtaining social tax deductions established by the Federal Tax Service (FTS) of Russia, which came into effect this year. For the first time, individuals can receive a deduction for 2024 without collecting documents.
The platform is available to all retail and corporate clients of the bank through the "SberBank Online" application and the "SberBusiness" online bank. According to Sber, the service was developed in response to requests from companies that provide medical, educational, and sports services and seek to simplify and speed up the process of obtaining tax deductions for their clients. The bank explained:
Preparing one certificate of payment for services manually takes an average of 30 minutes; now, it will be generated instantly in "SberBusiness." After that, it is enough to approve sending the document to the tax service. Legally significant electronic document management in the process is provided by the EDI operator "SberBusiness."
When a client pays for services, the information will immediately go to the organization in "SberBusiness." Payments by Sber cards are processed automatically; other payment methods can be entered manually. The service minimizes legal risks and errors because all amounts are formed based on real transactions.
The platform was tested and refined with the tax service from July, and now it is available to all Sber clients. Starting September 22, 2025, Sber clients will begin to receive notifications for those companies that are already connected to the service in the "SberBusiness" online bank, both for 2024 and 2025. For individuals, the process is digitized and automated. When a "Sber" client pays for a company's service, they receive a notification about the possibility of receiving a deduction in the "SberBank Online" application.
