The Avantage data center in the Moscow region has been certified in accordance with Federal Law No. 152 "On Personal Data" for the first level of security (UZ-1). This will allow businesses to securely host personal data in the MTS Web Services cloud in the data center without restrictions on clusters. Previously, the service was only available in dedicated segments.
Avantage is the second MWS data center to be fully certified to UZ-1. Previously, another MWS data center, GreenBushDC, went through this process. The certification will allow Russian companies to securely store any sensitive personal data (full name, phone numbers, email addresses) in the cloud, as well as deploy information systems that work with personal data, such as medical applications that display patients' medical data.
UZ-1 is considered the highest level of personal data protection. To obtain it, it is necessary to confirm compliance with the highest information security requirements.
Avantage is one of the largest data centers in Russia. Its total capacity reaches 20 MW. 2240 server racks are located in 16 halls, with a total area of 6.4 thousand square meters. The data center has a Tier III Facility, Design, Operations (Gold) reliability certificate. The data center is used both for internal MTS needs and for providing MTS Web Services cloud services on its basis.
